Torres Del Paine Riding Adventure

Meet the guides in Puerto Natales early this morning (we recommend arriving the day before to avoid being late for this first meeting) before travelling to Puerto Bories to board a boat for a scenic journey along the Última Esperanza Fjord. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers as the adventure into Patagonia begins.

After disembarking, meet the horses and set off on the first ride of the journey. Following quiet trails through native forest, the route winds alongside rivers and open valleys, offering a gentle introduction to the landscapes of Torres del Paine. Arriving at camp in the afternoon, there is time to relax before enjoying dinner beneath Patagonia’s expansive evening skies.

Wake to the fresh mountain air before setting off on horseback towards Torres del Paine National Park. The day’s ride passes through forests of lenga, ñirre and coigüe before opening onto sweeping pampas where there are opportunities to enjoy longer canters.

Crossing streams and following remote trails, the dramatic peaks of the Paine Massif gradually come into view, providing an unforgettable backdrop for the afternoon’s ride. After a rewarding day in the saddle, return to camp for a well-earned dinner and an evening beside the Serrano River.

After breakfast, transfer to the day’s starting point before riding across wide-open pampas towards Grey Lake. Long stretches of open ground provide excellent opportunities for energetic canters while surrounded by Patagonia’s spectacular scenery.

A narrower trail leads towards the Grey Lake viewpoint, where lunch is enjoyed overlooking the lake and distant glacier before retracing the route back across the plains. Return to camp in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Today’s ride explores some of the more challenging terrain of the journey. Setting off through Torres del Paine National Park, the trail climbs into the mountains, rewarding the effort with sweeping views across Lake Toro, the Paine River and the surrounding peaks.

Steeper sections require careful riding before the route levels out across higher ground, passing peaceful lagoons and remote valleys rarely visited by travellers. After completing the day’s ride, enjoy a relaxing evening and dinner after one of the longest days in the saddle.

Head out across the Patagonian pampa towards the Chilean-Argentinian border, riding through vast grasslands and rugged mountain landscapes. The trail reaches Hito 1, the historic border marker separating the two countries.

Continuing through high-altitude terrain and remote forests, this scenic loop offers another memorable day of riding before returning through Patagonia’s spectacular countryside. Dinner provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on another unforgettable day on horseback.

Leave camp on horseback this morning and continue across Patagonia’s endless open plains. Quiet tracks, rolling grasslands and peaceful wetlands showcase another side of this remarkable landscape, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy relaxed canters along the way.

The ride finishes at a traditional estancia before a short road transfer brings the day’s journey to an end. Enjoy dinner and a final evening immersed in Patagonia’s timeless atmosphere.

The final morning begins with a shorter ride through peaceful countryside towards Laguna Figueroa. This gentle finale offers time to soak up the scenery and enjoy the last hours in the saddle before saying goodbye to the horses and guides.

After sharing a traditional Patagonian farewell, transfer back to Puerto Natales where the riding adventure comes to an end, leaving plenty of unforgettable memories from one of South America’s most spectacular horseback journeys.
